Music Festival

The 10th annual Rappahannock Music Festival will be held on September 17 and 18 on the grounds at Oldway Art Center in Sperryville. Any bands of individuals interested in performing are asked to contact Brian Ross via at 987-1010 or email or go to the web site rappahannockmusicfestival.co m fill out application to perform even though the rest of the web site is not current and up to date.the Rappahannock Music Festival is about Rappahannock County music and musicians. It is a celebration of our own musical culture and community. Performers must have some close ties to the geographical area in order to qualify.

Ki Christmas

play auditions

This year the Ki Christmas play will be Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” The play will be produced on December 10-11. Auditions will be held for parts on September 17 and 18 from 35 p.m. At Ki Theatre on Gay Street in Washington. There will be parts for every one who auditions. In addition, singers, musicians, stagecrew, costumers and box office help will be needed. Join the Christmas camaraderie. The family of the late Ernest Dodson and Neva Nickleson will hold a reunion on Sunday, September 18 at the Rappahannock Park in Washington. Lunch will be served at 10 a m. and music will be provided by the King’s Travelers. Come out and enjoy. Everyone bring a dish.
