painterly photography in this film. She won the Women in Cinema Award at the Seattle International Film Festival.

After the film, the audience is invited to stay for a discussion led by Patti Bellantoni, who is a lively and enthusiastic teacher. The next morning from 10 until noon, discussion continues as Patti shows opening clips from well known films. She will illustrate how directors set the stage for the plot line of the film and she will teach us about the use of color to set the mood and tone of films. A picnic box lunch will be served as the discussion continues outside, weather permitting. Patti Bellantoni will sign her new book, “If It’s Purple, Someone’s Gonna Die: The Power of Color in Visual Storytelling”. The book will be for sale both Friday night and Saturday at the event.
