Editor's Note: This is a great opportunity to see some rare and endangered species (like the clouded leopard pictured) and hear from Smithsonian scientists what they are doing to try and save them from extinction. Normally, the National Zoo's Conservation Research Center is closed to the public but opens its doors for this annual festival with food, music and kid-friendly activities.
