It’s my firm opinion that Flower Alley, although he won the Travers, doesn’t have much chance to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic. He’s not fast enough. However, Bellamy Road has proven he is fast enough to win the Classic, and will improve as he gets more and more fit after recovering from an injury he sustained in the Kentucky Derby in May that kept him off the track until lace August.
Sweet Symphony, runaway undefeated winner of the Alabama Stakes, will also make a bid for the distaff championship.
