‘Artists
Speak’
The Middle Street Gallery opened its current show, “Contrasting Images,” at a reception this past Sunday. The standing room only crowd of art lovers came to hear four Rappahannock artists “speak” of how they approach their art from a personal perspective: Linda Lawler, Ann Georgia McCaffrey, Wayne Paige, and Barbara Heile Sherwood. Here Sherwood explained how she conceived and painted this colorful kitchen scene. This show will be at the Middle Street Gallery in Little Washington until July 30.
The gallery is open Friday-Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Phone (540) 675-3440 or check their website at www.shentel.net/middlestreetgallery.
