Horseshoe Tournament
Come and join the fun! Chester Gap Volunteer Fire & Rescue’s annual horseshoe tournament on Saturday, July 15 at 9 a.m. Tournaments start at 10 a.m. at the Chester Gap carnival grounds. DJ music by Michael Ray Williams. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be served at the fire hall starting at 10:30 a.m. Rain date will be Saturday, July 22. Entry fee: $10 per person, $20 per team, first, second, third place awarded to singles and partners.
July 15: CGVED Yard Sale
Chester Gap Volunteer Fire & Rescue is having a inside yard sale on Saturday, at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the fire hall. There will be Tupperware, furniture, glassware, clothing and much more.

Workshop
A two-day Bookmaking Workshop will be held at Revival Springs Retreat for Creative Action in Sperryville, led by Ann Georgia McCaffray and assisted by Barbara Heile Sherwood and Beau Caldwell. This workshop introduces you to an easy and elegant book format with simple stitching which will showcase your work. You will explore the world of surface design on paper in this color filled and messy playtime while creating an array of wonderful patterned and colored papers for use in your book. All books are made using Archival materials and will last many hundreds of years given proper treatment! Workshop Times are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16. The most is $125. and Visitors Association
The monthly meeting of the Washington Hospitality and Visitors Association will take place on Sunday, July 16, starting at 7 p.m. in the Extension Office on Gay Street. Special guest this month is Christiana Roberts, a Virginia Living Magazine Advertising Representative, who will speak to the membership and answer all questions related to advertising in their magazine.
