For these reasons and because of an increase in the number of forest landowners, both large and small, Virginia Department of Forestry and Virginia Cooperative Extension have designed a series of workshops. These sessions will bring woodland owners together for dissemination of information and exchange of experiences between landowners. Some areas have formalized this exchange by forming a Forest Landowners Association, a topic that will be discussed in a town meeting atmosphere during the last session on October 16.
Individuals may attend any one workshop for $5.00 or all five sessions for $20.00. Pre-registration is required. Stop by any of the following locations for a brochure with registration information describing the program in more detail: Virginia Cooperative Extension offices in any of the five counties or the Department of Forestry Offices in Orange or Madison or call 540-948-6881 to have one sent to your home.
