Masons and the Shriners Club of the Masons. He previously served on the board for the Rappahannock County Social Services and was a past director of the Washington, VA Masonic Cemetery.
He is survived by his children, John David Hartline and his wife Carol of Seaboard, N.C., Joseph Douglas Hartline and his wife, Evalyn of Annapolis, Md., George Eric Hartline and his wife Sue of Marble Falls, TX., Charles Edward Hartline of Memphis, Tenn., and Patricia Lynn Hartline of Woodbridge, Va.
Additional survivors include his grandsons: David Hartline, Michael Hartline, Jesse Hartline and Kyle Hartline. Also surviving are two nieces Ernestine Clutts Schlegel and Ruth Ann Clutts Martin.
He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Evangeline Beatrice Edlund Hartline, his second wife, Julia Louise Koch Zabaroski Hartline and his sister Vera Lucille Hartline Clutts.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 12 at Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Jennings Hobson officiating. Interment was private.
Pallbearers were his grandsons.
