New varsity
wrestling coach
Eric Jason Brown was also hired as the varsity wrestling coach. Brown has served as a successful club-level wrestling coach for several years in the Culpeper area. His wrestlers, including several from Rappahannock County, have competed successfully at the State and National levels.
“We think that we have a group of excellent people,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Robert Chappell. “We look forward to working with them during the next school year.”
The robbery
The board briefly discussed the robbery of the school that occurred over the weekend. Chappell reported th&t $6,000 of tools were stolen along with $10,000 worth of band equipment.
Board Chairman Wes Mills asked Chappell if the stolen property would be covered by the school’s insurance policy. Chappell replied that the insurance rates would rise if such claims were made.
