You ever forget, yeah me too. What’d I forget you ask, well I forgot to thank and recognize some very special people. You see the fire department had accepted the contract for a local man to do the mowing and weed eating around the firehouse and , carnival grounds but the grounds needed attention a lot sooner than this fellow could get started or be notified. With everyone so busy these days the grass quickly got out of hand. Well these folks took it upon themselves to donate their time, gas, equipment, and sweat to mow and weed eat the grounds for the department. It was unasked for but greatly appreciated and I really am ashamed that they were not recognized sooner for it. So I would like to personally thank Charlie and Mattie Frazier and Tabitha Swain and her father Mr. Swain (I’m sorry I just can not remember his name to save my life). You all gave of yourselves to help the department and the community and we should all make it a point to not only thank you but all of the others like you who go out of their way to help in anyway they can. So again I say "thank you, thank you very much”!
