Golf
Golf coach Jason Gochenour spoke highly of the golf team, thankful that the Bull Run District allowed three Rappahannock boys to play in the district even though they did not have a full team after several seniors graduated last year. Due to the athletes nearly equal performance, he declined to give a MVP award. He presented two coaches awards to freshmen Travis Mills and Huck Pace for their participation in the program.
Cheer
Varsity Cheerleader coach Bonnie Pullen and Junior Varsity Cheerleader coach Michelle Kaye presented awards for both of the teams. Pullen said that she knew that this season would be tough after losing twelve seniors at the end last year. Senior Helen Hutcheson was awarded the coach’s award for her positive attitude and leadership. Anna Owens also received a Coach’s award and a MVP award. Shannon Woodward also won a MVP award. Kaye presented JV cheerleaders Caitlin Diley with the MVP award and the Coach’s Award to Megan Early.
Football
Varsity head coach Kemp Pullen presented the Dylan Corbin Award to Tim Fitzmorris. “In the two years of being part of the football team, Tim has always given one hundred percent,” Pullen said. The coaches award went to Eric Montague, as Pullen also noted his individual effort and improvement in the game. Bobby Czekaj won the MVP award as Pullen celebrated his
