History of service
Rae first came to Rappahannock in 1975, opening a health food store in the building where the Sunnyside Market used to be in Washington, Va. Her health food store moved around the county in other Washington buildings eventually occupying the Post Office building where the current Country Cafe is. There, she joined her health food store with her first Cafe.
