Dec. 5: Mountain Vista
Governor's School meeting
On Tuesday, December 5 from 8 a.m to 10 a.m., the Mountain Vista Governor’s School Governing Board will hold its monthly meeting. The public is invited to attend. The meeting will be held in the boardroom of the Lord Fairfax Community College, Middletown Campus.

The Biodiversity Task Force will meet at the RappFLOW/RCCA/RNPC office on U. S. 211 in Sperryville, next to the old schoothouse (formerly Sunnyside) to discuss its program for the upcoming year. The focus will be on wildlife habitat, from soil and microbes to managing invasive exotic plants, planting native plants to attract wildlife, and managing small woodlots and riparian buffers. Everyone is welcome, whether you're currently a task force member, would like to join, or would just like to have input into the program. Dec. 7,8: Cookie Sale
The 12th Annual Grandma’s Homemade Favorites Cookies and Gift Sale will be held Thursday, December 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday, December 8 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Warrenton Community Center, 430 East Shirley Avenue, Warrenton, Virginia. All proceeds from this sale will benefit the Warrenton Adult Day Care Program. There will be an incredible assortment of cookies, fruitcakes, and snacks to enjoy while browsing. There will be many gifts to choose from also. In addition, we have remembered our four-legged friends - these treats are a very popular item - they sell out quickly. Dec. 8: Christmas Songs
The Blue Ridge Chorale of Culpeper under Director Virginia Erwin will present a choral concert at The Theatre in* Washington at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8. This is truly "The Many Moods of Christmas", from deeply reverent to truly joyous; beloved traditional to just great fun! The audience will be invited to join in some carols. Dec. 8,9,10: Ki Christmas Play
Barbara Robinson’s play, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” will be presented at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 8 and Saturday, December 9 and at 2 p. m. on Sunday, December 10. The play is a delightful comedy about a community that learns the meaning of Christmas from the most irreligious family in town. The cast of over 40 (mostly children) is deep into rehearsal and preparations are being made to turn the Sperryville Schoolhouse (recently Sunnyside Farm) into a Christmas vision.
