The Rappahannock News together with the Rappahannock County High School Athletic Department is proud to announce that Bobby Czekaj has been named Athlete of the Month for October.
The son of Robert and Gail Czekaj, Bobby gave an amazing contribution to the Rappahannock Panthers Varsity as they brought in their first win of the season against Chincoteague High School. Czekaj, a senior, played both sides of the ball as running back and safety. He broke six school records by gaining 1196 offensive yards, with 9 touchdowns, 23 tackles, 2 assists, 2 interceptions, and a fumble recovery. Head Varsity Coach Kemp Pullen noted that Czekaj remained dedicated to the game and dedicated to his team. “Bobby was one of the fastest kids in the district,” Pullen said. “The opposing teams didn’t take long to know that he was a threat.”
