mundane, the scope of her efforts on behalf of the Rappahannock Historical Society and the community was enormous. There was dogged attention to detail in numerous ongoing research efforts documenting the events, individuals, and families that make up the collective heritage of our County.

How does one pay tribute to a person who so unselfishly gave her all to a cause? We believe Donna would say the best way is to follow her example, that is, to strive to perpetuate the mission of the Historical Society.

In doing so, we will not only continually honor her incomparable efforts; we will also help to ensure that our collective footprints on this most remarkable piece of earth will last forever.

Donna requested that any contributions to her memory be given to the Rappahannock Historical Society or the Hospice of the Rapidan.
