For more than a decade, Rae Gatke has been serving the residents of Rappahannock in one place or another. She has moved as often as necessary to accommodate different spaces and different markets always with the same spirit of service and happy charm.

Her new brightly painted restaurant is now a staple of Main Street in Sperryville, as she gears up her dinner menu specials scheduled for Friday of this week. Her specials this week will be Asian salmon, pasta, meatloaf, and vegetable or sausage lasagna.

“Our menu offers something for everyone,” Rae said, “Rappahannock is a very eclectic county and so are we. I have been in the county long enough to know what they want,” she said with a smile.

The menu boasts “A Full Circle of Global Feasts” including a fresh deli sandwiches, pita pockets, burritos and varieties of chicken from around the world. Rae’s also offers many vegetarian meal options and can satisfy someone who is merely craving a tasty burger. One of her more popular offerings is her delicious soup, made from scratch.
