Christmas trees!
Hearthstone School is now selling freshly cut Norway Spruce Christmas trees generously donated by Moosehill farm in Rappahannock County. The trees are $40 each, and all sizes will be available all the way up to 14 feet tall! Trees may be purchased in front of the school from November 25 through December 24.
Hearthstone School’s annual holiday bazaar will be held on Saturday, December 2 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the school’s Community Room. This is a great opportunity to pick up fun and interesting Christmas gifts, including fresh evergreen wreaths, hand-crafted items, art, pottery, woodwork jewelry, children’s toys and books, ornaments, homemade desserts and baked goods, and much more! Hearthstone students have created various items for sale, including note cards, beeswax candles, wreaths and more. There is still room for additional vendors, so any local artisans or craftspeople interested in vending at the bazaar should call the Hearthstone School office at 540-987-9212.

New RCES Band
Room / RCPS Auxiliary Gym Opens
Rappahannock County Building Administrator Richie Burke issued an occupancy certificate for us to start using this facility effective Nov. 27. The RCES Band planned to hold its first rehearsals in the new band room on Nov. 28. Athletic team practices were also scheduled to start in the new gym on the 28th.
The RCPS now has three indoor practice facilities that should boost practice time by 50%. The schools consider team practices as instructional time. In the past conditioning exercises, skills teaching, and drills were cut short due to limited practice times for eight teams in two gyms.
It is hoped that the boost in conditioning and skills’ instructional time will help RCPS teams reach the next level.
