by the team was “Consider sponsoring a ‘Physical Fitness Week.’ “ The purpose of this event would be to educate students, parents and employees about physical fitness. Physical Education and Health Teachers from the two schools are serving on a team with a school nurse and administrators to make plans for such an event.
A third recommendation was “Consider appropriate Emphasis on improving emotional wellness of students.” Administrators and counselors are meeting this week to look at additional ways to accomplish this. Services currently provided by the RCPS to promote emotional well-being of children include Guidance counselors providing personal-social counseling for some students.
