Obituaries Donna R. Fisher Castleton resident Donna R. Fisher, 64, wife of Gene A. Fisher of Castleton died Tuesday, November 21. She was born December 23, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Donald R. and Billie E. Thompson Turner Mockler. Mrs. Fisher was the mother of Wayne E. and Lewis R. Fisher of Castleton. She is also survived by a brother, Bill E. Turner and his family of Jacksonville, Florida, a sister-in-law and nephew, Helen and Jack Turner of Sierra Vista, Arizona. Donna and Gene Fisher moved to Rappahannock in 1970 from Florida. She worked at the Communications Corporation of America (CCA) in Boston, VA for many years. Since 1997 she was with the Rappahannock Historical Society in Washington, VA. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Hugh R. “Dickie” Deal, Jr. Family in Sperryville Hugh R “Dickie” Deal, Jr., 56, of Warrenton died Monday, November 20 at Warrenton Overlook Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was bom March 11,1950 in Charlottesville, VAto the late Hugh R. and Mabel Deal. He is survived by his son, Robert Eugene Deal of West Virginia and his mother, Rebecca Deal, three brothers, James Daniel Deal and his wife, Gail of Sperryville, Jeffrey Lee Deal of Madison, and Ivan Lewis Deal and his wife, Cynthia of Culpeper, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Henry Deal, and two sisters, Dorothy Jeffreys and Joyce Faye Deal. A funeral service was held on November 24 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel in Culpeper, with Rev. John Burke officiating. Interment was followed in Sperryville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Rapidan, P.O. Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701.
