All nonperishable food and monetary donations qualify you for a drawing to receive free tickets to one of Gray Ghost’s popular events! Hearthstone School is selling freshly cut Norway Spruce Christmas trees through Dec. 24; generously donated by Moosehill farm here in Rappahannock County. The trees are $40 each, and all sizes are available, up to 14 feet tall. Trees may be purchased in front of the school. Come early for the best selection. Questions? Nov. 30: Training to
handle emergencies
The next Rappahannock-Rapidan Medical Reserve Corps (RRMRC) training will be on biologic agents: Category A from 7:15 - 9p.m., on November 30. There will be an orientation for new volunteers prior to the training from 6-7 p.m. The training and orientation will take place at the Culpeper Emergency Operation Center. To learn the answers to these questions or to schedule a presentation on personal an<| family emergency preparedness for your group, organization or church, contact RRMRC as above. The presentation covers emergencies from floods to pandemic flu. It can last anywhere from 20 minutes without questions, to 45 minutes with questions, information packets are provided.

discussion/Annual Meeting
The Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance (RCCA) annual meeting will be held on Friday, December 1, at the Washington Town Hall. Light refreshments and socializing begin at 6:30. The program follows at 7 p.m. Dominion and Allegheny Power have announced plans for a 500kilovolt power line that would go through neighboring jurisdictions, but not Rappahannock County. The line Could cut through private land, publicly held open space, prime agricultural soils, historic sites, historic districts, magnificent view sheds and a high concentration of conservation easements. A panel will discuss the threat to conservation easements in Rappahannock County. We will also review 2006 accomplishments, elect new directors, and announce the date and location for the Spring 2007 ‘Rappahannock Evening View,” the annual fund raiser to benefit the Farmland Preservation Program. College Dinner Theater
LFCC Fine and Performing Arts Club and Student Activities Office will present 'Arsenic and Old Lace," a classic American comedy. The dinner theater production will be held on Friday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. Included in the $25 ticket cost is a catered meal by Shaffers'. Two other performances of the play will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 8 p. m. and Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2 p. m. The costs of tickets for the play-only performances are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
