Spiritual Care Support Ministries has received a $1,473.77 grant on behalf of the Exxon Mobil Employees’ Favorite Charities Campaign to fund their programs.
The Spiritual Care Support Ministry Program is designed to help people who are ill, dying and bereaved and those who journey with them.
“This grant will enable us to give support to people in need as well as give training to people so they can effectively know how to support those who are ill, dying and bereaved and those who journey with them.” said Chaplain Liz Danielsen, President of Spiritual Care Support Ministries. “Our goal is to promote healing in the lives of those who are suffering and to educate the public to their needs.”
“Our employees set a new giving record this year,” said Patrick Dexter, Headquarters Community Relations Advisor for Exxon Mobil Corporation. “We are pleased to support local health and human services organizations in the Greater Washington area; supporting organizations where we live and work is a basic principal of community relations at Exxon Mobil. It’s important to all our employees that we be active community members.”
Employees and Exxon Mobil Corporation contributed over $2,000,000 to support hundreds of different nonprofit organizations. The Exxon Mobil Employees’ Favorite Charities Campaign provided employees with the opportunity to choose a charity with 100 percent of their contribution going to the designated charity.
Exxon Mobil’s corporate contribution will be distributed to local health and human services non-profit organizations based on employee designations.
