In the Rappahannock News of November 23, we asked readers to help identify 15 people believed to be from a high school class from years ago.

The photo has been in the possession of Jean Lillard’s mother Mabel for many years. Jean asked that folks help figure out when the portraits were taken and who they show.

Many readers responded. Lillard reported as follows:

Here are the results of the picture believed to be the class of 1932 or 33 —some spellings may not be accurate.

Tbp row - left to right

Polly Slaughter, John R. Moore, Kathleen Updike, Lucy Haddox

Middle row - left to right

Ann Keyser Menefee, 2nd person is still a mystery, Merle Grubbs ( a teacher) Alfred E. Bowers (Principal in 1931), Alonso Hagar, James Russell Boldridge, Leonard Routt Barron

Bottom row - left to right

Kathryn Bradford, Clara Snyder Updike, Russell Fincham, Mae Bowen

Many thanks to those good Rappahannock folks who helped identify the classmates. They are Kathryn Riley, Deborah Fincham, Barbara Reid, Annie Hawkins, Pres Pulliam, Mary Gardner Edmonds and Lilly Corbin.

Any more?
