Our View
Moving to
my left
As some of you may know, I kamikazed myself into our two newspaper boxes outside the offices here after the parade and our open house on December 3. I literally tossed myself headlong toward the building after tripping on too long crepe pants partnered with an oft-balanced attempt to remove our beautiful (thank you Gary) open house sign. With the help of Ann Spieker and the Washington Rescue Squad I traveled to Fauquier Hospital in fine fashion. The commotion drew a crowd including the friendly faces of Michelle Schwartz, Claudia Mitchell, Miss Mary and poor Robert Weinberg who was just trying to sample our sushi. My right wrist is broken in several places and I am now wearing a cast for many weeks. Aside from the obvious inconvenience (I’m typing left-handed), I was given an early Christmas present. The outpouring of community concern, phone messages, cards and visits has been humbling and I wanted to carve out some space in this week’s issue to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and actions. Thank you all!
