Sandra said riding trips in Ireland and California have given her a better appreciation for the quality of the horse country in Rappahannock. In other areas, she said, the riding trails and the bed and breakfasts are not connected and guests have to take cars to get between where they want to ride horses and where they are spending the night. In Rappahannock, riding country is literally at the inns’ back doors.
After those experiences, Sandra said she “realized how ' remarkable it is to walk from Conyers to four different farms to ride through spectacular scenery.”
Matrimonial
memories
The Conyers House became even more “engaging" some 10 years ago when Norman became a licensed Celebrant of the Rites of Matrimony. Since then he has married more than 125 couples at the Conyers House and other locations in the . county.
The Conyers House is not an average place for a wedding, and Sandra said the inn has hosted several memorable ceremonies. She said one that sticks in her mind involved a wedding
