Smith poured in a teamhigh 34 points' against Page County, and Hanberry scored 22 points. Smith led the Panthers with 22 points against Luray.
Rappahannock’s upcoming game Friday at RCHS will give them another shot at Page County. Luray comes to town Monday. Both games start at 7:30 p.m. The junior varsity team plays at 6:15 p.m., prior to the varsity game.
Junior Varsity
By the end of the first quarter Tuesday, the Panthers’ junior varsity team had jumped out to an 8-6 lead over Warren County. But the Wildcats outscored Rappahannock 16-4 in the second quarter, to take a 22-12 lead at halftime - and never looked back from there, going on to win the game 50-34.
Eighth-grader Connor Settle led Rappahannock with 11 points, including two 3-pointers, while sophomore Dean Hogan added nine points. Freshman guard Taylor Yowell grabbed nine rebounds.
