Rappahannock results

Hope has already received several appreciative letters from her college students and their parents, thanking her for the help and support. She glows with pride as she tells the stories of several students who once thought college was impossible. “My biggest goal is to level the playing field,” she said, “I want to give every qualified kid a chance.”

Hope’s commitment to the program is shining through with impressive results.

In 2005, Next Step’s first year, 55 percent of student graduates went to college or trade school. In 2006, 72 percent of the graduating class went on to seek higher education.

Hope helped RCHS become an SAT testing center, which allowed more students to take the test. She also invested time into SAT prep workshops, enabling Rappahannock students to score well on the test.
