Owls got game
Both the boys and the girls varsity won games against Fredericksburg Academy on December 7. Katherine Russo scored a career-high 17 points while Chantel Paul added 12, winning the girls game with a trouncing score of 42-15. The varsity boys won their game with a score of 47-37. Patrick Dale scored 20 points during the game while Ben Luke scored 11.
Saturday, the Wakefield Country Day basketball teams played in the Nike-sponsored Life & Breath Foundation tournament at Wakefield School in The Plains. The girls team lost to Cape Henry Collegiate from Virginia Beach 49-26, with Chantel Paul scoring 17 points. The varsity boys succeeded in winning their game with a 59-48 victory. Patrick Dale scored 24 points while Ben Luke added 12 points for the Owls. Following the match, WCDS was 4-2.
