I have almost finished my Christmas shopping. However, there is one gift that I have yet to give. I want to donate anonymously to someone in the community who needs support. There are so many organizations that provide that service in Rappahannock and, as I read about them in the paper or receive donation solicitations, I am grateful that the commercial side of Christmas is balanced by our community of caring. All of us know of people who fall behind on rent and utilities because of illness and loss of work, death of a parent, injury, etc. I know that the true spirit of giving in Rappahannock will once again reveal itself during this holiday season.
