Little Fork Episcopal Church invites the public to join them for a series of special Christmas celebrations during the month of December. A series of potluck Advent suppers will be held at the parish hall on Wednesday evenings this month.

The next Advent supper will feature a presentation by the Rev. Tbm Hayes, entitled “the meaning of Advent.” Two suppers are scheduled for Dec. 13 and Dec. 20, at 6:30 p.m. The congregation also invites the public to attend two special events on Sunday, Dec. 17.

First the annual Christmas Pageant will be held during the 8:30 a.m. Holy Eucharist and traditional service. It will be followed by a joyous birthday party for Jesus during the 10 a.m. coffee hour in the parish hall. Everyone is welcome to come and join this celebration!

A Children’s Christmas play will be presented at the Washington Baptist Church on Sunday, December 17, at 9:45 a. m. The title of the play is “The Prayer Chain .” An Advent worship service will follow at 11a. m. and the public is invited.

A special Christmas Eve worship service will be held at the Washington Baptist Church on Sunday, December 24, at 11 a. m. The public is also invited to an Christmas Eve Candlelight Service that evening at 7 p. m. For more information, you may contact the church office at 675-3336.

Plan to spend Christmas Eve with family and friends for a Community Candlelight Service at Spenyville United Methodist Church. Hear the Christmas story through Scripture and cherished hymns. Celebrate Holy Communion and experience the worshipful peace of singing “Silent Night” by candlelight. The service begins at 8 p.m. An offering will be received and it will be used to address recently discovered structural problems of the church building. Believers and seekers of all ages are welcome!
