Dec. 16: Christmas Dinner
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department invites one and aH to its annual Christmas dinner at the carnival grounds on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Christmas Tree lighting and caroling at 4 p.m. Bring your own ornament for the tree. Dinner starts at 5 p.m. Bring a covered dish to share; ham and bread will be provided. Kids: have your picture taken with Santa! For more information, call Stephanie Crawford at 635-5091 or Chris Ubben at 635-6094.
Dec. 17: Children’s play
The Washington Baptist Church will present a Christmas children’s play on Sunday the 17 at 9:45 a.m. The title of the play is “The Prayer Chain”. An Advent service will follow the 11 a.m. service.
There will be a special Christmas Eve worship at the church on Dec. 24 at 11 a.m. The public is also invited to a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7 p.m. For more information call the church office at 675-3336.
Dec. 18: RLEP Board of Directors meeting
The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection Board of Directors meets at the library, with social time at 7 p.m. and business meeting at 7:30 p.m. The proposed electrical power transmission line through Fauquier County, plans for our 2007 Aitemative Energy Expo, and our 2007 agenda and budget will be discussed.
