Peter H.-Lyke yhas. announced that he is a candidate for -the Office of Commonwealth Attorney for Rappahannock County in the November election. He is 31 years old, a graduate of Culver Military Academy, Culver, Ind. and the University of V'irginia, where he received his B. A. degree in 1969. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1972 and was admitted to practice law in Virginia the same year. He has since done post-graduate work at the National Law Center of George Washington University.

Luke is a former policeman with the City of Virginia Beach and was a Captain and Judge-Advocate with the United Statee Air Force from 1972 to 1977. During two of those years he served as a military prosecutor. Also, while in the military, Luke served as legal advisor to various boards, groups and committees.
