Lion Mank was pleased with the cooperation of high school principal Dennis Wingfield and guidance counselor James Futtrell for their assistance in securing candidates and completing scholarship applications. Serving with Mank on the committee were Paul Nichols, Dr. Jeff Bloomer, Bob Ingle and vice president John Schultz. The Nichols and Ingle families have applied to share in hosting a young man from a European country this summer.
The Lions Club plans to continue sponsoring this program of international exchange to further good will and understanding as an added educational experience for youth. In the past Connie DelGrosso and Curtis Nichols have had the opportunity to visit Europe and a young man from Finland and another from West Germany have been guests in the Howard Holschuh home in Castleton.
