In his presentation at the school board meeting on March 6, Superintendet William Bloomer recommended adoption of a 1979-80 school budget that totals $1,512, 928—an increase of 17.7 percent over the current year.
In the budget sheets, Bloomer listed line item appropriations side by side in two categories; one his recommended budget that will expand school services and the other a basic budget that will maintain services at their current level except where increases are required to meet state mandate standards of quality.
