He took 20 pieces, filling his truck for ballast i efore trying to escape the snow drifts on Monday morning. “It’s a difficult show to get into. The competition is very high,” Kramer commented.
He added that he’d been more successful last year, the first year he exhibited at the Council’s winter market. “The weather interfered this time but despite the snow and the rain, we did well. I sold several pieces and made some tremendous contracts,” Kramer said.
The Channel 2 feature, shown during both the early and 11 p.m. news broadcasts, was an overview of the winter market that zeroed in on Kramer.
The March issue of House Beautiful has photographs of a Windsor chair and blanket chest produced by Kramer and includes a short interview with the Washington furniture maker.
