Rappahannock can expect a windfall of $47,109 in surplus state funds but there’s a catch. The supervisors learned at last Thursday’s board meeting that they wont’ receive the money until the coming biennium (July 1, 1980-82) and then they’ll be told by the state how they can spend it.
“They’re going to give it back to us when it was ours to start with,” commented supervisor H. B. Wood. “They’re going to give it back but they’re telling us what to do with it.”
