Carla Eugster will give a reading of her poems Friday evening March 16 at 8 p.m. at the parish hall of the Episcopal Church in Washington. A musical interlude will be provided by Michael Krueger.

Carla Eugster was formerly a government economist and education specialist working with culturally deprived adults and children. She moved to Rappahannock County nine years ago where she founded and directed the Nethers Community School which operated for several years as an innovative familial boarding school for teenagers.

Nethers is now being developed by Ms. Eugster as an educational center focused on the arts, and as a retreat for poets and chamber music
