Objection To “Will Be’s”
“These ‘will be’s’ are still haunting me,” said Alan Stokes, moving back to the proposed six-year plan. This time, his concern focused on capital outlay proposals that stated “a financial plan will be determined by September 1979 for the approved projects.”
Following agreement on changing “will’s” to “should’s” except as involves mandated programs, the board voted unanimously to accept the six-year plan.
Before the vote on adjournment, Stokes suggested that the board go into executive session to discuss the upcoming teacher vancancies at the elementary school. Approximately an hour and a half later, the board returned to open meeting, reported no action was taken in the closed session and then adjourned at a little after midnight.
