Hawkins
John Richard Hawkins, 78, of Culpeper died March 5, 1979 in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Rappahannock County but had lived for many years in Culpeper where he operated a country store until his retirement.
A funeral service conducted by the Rev. David Lavary will be held today, Thursday, at the Clore Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Surviviors include his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Yancey Hawkins of Culpeper; a daughter, Mrs. Russell Brown of Brandy Station; a son, Lewis Hawkins of Culpeper; ten grandchildren and twelve greatgrandchildren.
