Political activity in Rappahannock is on the upswing as both new faces and incumbents begin to gear up for the November local elections.
Contacted last week, two of the county supervisors have declared their intentions to seek another term, one will not actively run and two remain undecided.
H. B. Wood, representative from Stonewall-Hawthome District said he hadn't given much thought to the election but added that he intended to try for his third term. Wood’s family is something of a tradition on the Rappahannock Board with his father, Henry Wood, serving as supervisor from 1947 until 1971. Edwin "Butch” Eastham, supervisor from Wakefield District, stated that he planned to seek a second terms unless unexpected developments occur to change his mind.
