As the point-to-point season begins to take shape the racing gets more and more exciting and Blue Ridge promises to be a very interesting meet with several winners from this season and last entered in the races.
The last four races appear to be the most exciting §8 the winners from the Casanova ahd Rappahannock traces pr^jjtaWrro do battle Wain.
The fourth race is the Clarke Courier Cup, a ladies timber race over three miles. When entries closed Monday evening there were II entries for this race including Patti Cassell’s Splashy Lea, winner of the ladies timber race at Rappahannock, and Randy Rouse’s Cinzano, winner of the ladies timber race at Casanova.
Toinette Jackson will be riding again at Blue Ridge, having had a prior commitment for the Rappahannock races.
Cinzano has also been entered in the seventh race, a IV2 mile open hurdle race, as have George Ohrstrom’B Appolinax and Mr. and Mrs. Brown’s Roman Hunt, winner of the open timber race at Rappahannock last week.
