on the nine-race card was a V* mile flat race run in two divisions.
Tom Carroll’s Coronel won the first division with Joey Stettinius riding. Mrs. Ogden Phipps’ Prelate, young Irishman John Fitzgerald up, was second by three lengths followed a half-length back by Mrs. Alan Weintraub’s J. R. Frog, ridden by Don Yovanovich.
In the second division Nelson Connell’s Make The Move broke his rider’s maiden. Next was Labadie Mill Farm’s Lots Of Fruit, Holly Mitten riding, with Linda Conn on her Wizard Willard a close third.
Next was the open timber race. The Oliver Browns’ Roman Hunt, ridden by Mark Stickley, came from off the pace to lead over the tenth of 14 fences, increasing his advantage to four lengths over the last.
Don Yovanovich sent Madelyn Simmons' Daring Mistress in hot pursuit and closed the gap to a length and a half as they raced to the finish. Third was John Myers’ Donna’s Prime, Jeremy Gillam up.
The junior flat race was run in two divisions. In the first, for horses, Dawn Dugan on her Sharp Start was an easy five-length winner over Tracey Wessner riding her Lee’s Explosion. Hill Parker on his Let’s Go was third.
