By jim McCullough Rappahannock Newa Sports Writer The Junior Panthers from Rappahannock fell short in their bid for a trophy in the Bull Run Junior Varsity final Saturday night in Front Royal, losing to the Clarke County Eagles, 3135.
The game went down to the wire. With one minute to play, H. B. Wood connected on a pair of free throws to bring the Panthers within two, 31-33. Rapp then forced a Clarke turnover with 24 seconds left. The Panthers drove down the court but missed the tying shot and were forced to foul to keep their hopes alive.
