For the fourth year in a row, though this year on a different horse, Mike Brown was half of the fastest team at the Rappahanock Hunter Pace Pair races Saturday at Sperryville.
Sally Cunningham, the other half of the speedy team both this year and last, rode Mac Sub while Mr. Brown rode Emily, Ms Cunningham’s mount for the 1983 races. Timbocktoo, Mr. Brown’s mount for the previous three years, did not race.
Despite the change in mounts, the pair from the Rappahannock Hunt covered the three miles of very rolling country in 8:12 minutes, six seconds ahead of their closest competitors.
