To elect 4 delegates and 2 alternates to the 7th Congressional District Democratic Convention, to be held in Charlottesville 12 May, to endorse a candidate for the U S. House of Representatives from the 7th Congressional District. 24 March 1984 Time: 12:00 Noon Courthouse, Washington, Va. To elect 4 delegates and 2 alternates to the 7th Congressional District Convention and the State Democratic Convention, both to be held in Norfolk 18 May, to endorse a candidate for the U.S. Senate from the State of Virginia and to select candidates to the Democratic National Convention to be held 16-20 July 1984 in San Francisco, where a Democratic Presidential Candidate will be chosen. Doors will open for both mass meetings at 11:30 a m., and doors will close for the beginning of each mass meeting at 12:00 noon. Persons participating in the mass meetings must be registered to vote, or, if not yet 18 years of age, be otherwise eligible to register to vote and turn 18 years of age by 6 November 1984 All participants must sign a standardized declaration, approved by the State Democratic Central Committee, pledging support for Democratic nominees, in accordance with the Virginia Party Plan. PRE-FILINQ: Persons wishing to pre-file to run for delegate to the two sets of Convention must do so no later than 5:00 p.m. on 10 March for the first, and at 5:00 P.M. on March 17 for the second. Forms for pre-filing may be obtained at the Clerk s Office in Washington, Va.. or from B L. Bird, Horseshoe Hollow Farm. Washington, Va. 22747. The completed forms may be filed by mail, courier or in person with either B.L. Bird, Chairman of the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee, or with Diane Bruce, Clerk of the Court, Washington, Va. before 5:00 p.m. on 10 March and 17 March, respectively.
