Colonel Webster Little Simons, 84, of Culpeper, died Thursday, March 1, 1984, at Circle Terrace Hospital in Alexandria.
A native .of Weare, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Harry and Ada Simons. His first wife was the late Dorothy Ballard Simons. His second wife was the late Mary Elizabeth Caverly Simons.
Col. Simons was a member of St. Stephens’ Episcopal Church in Culpeper. He was a veteran of World War I and World War II. He was a member of the Culpeper Exchange Club, American Legion and Masonic Lodge, Goffstown, New Hampshire and a member of Sons of the American Revolution.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Donald W. Haskell of Merrimac, Mass., Mrs. Thurl Stalnaker of North Haven, Conn., Mrs. Churchill J. Gibson, Jr. of Alexandria and Mrs. Lee Bullwinkel of Bloomington, Illinois;.three sons, Rev. Webster L. Simons, Jr. df Edenton, Rear Harrison T. Simons pf Oxford, , N--C- ^nd.jRev. John, >V.Sjmons pf 'WilJougnby, Ohio; 34 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Duncan F. Simons, in 1983.
Funeral services were conducted at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Culpeper on Monday by the Rev. William Brake. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery, Goffstown, New Hampshire.
Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of arrangements.
