Attendance and health services is up seven percent due to a propsosed increase in compensation of the school psychologist—from $10,053 to $10,757.

The School Board plans to meet again next Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the elementary school library to receive public comments on the fiscal proposal.
Another meeting is set for March 20 for the School Board's discussion and vote. This allows a week’s leeway if the board needs to spend more time on its budget proposals before submitting them to the Board of Supervisors for its April meeting.
Elections

An interior decorator, she has advised on several refurbishings of commercial buildings in the town, including the Rappahannock National Bank and offices of attorney Douglas K. Baumgardner, and assisted the council members on selections of the color scheme for repainting the town hall.
Peter Skowronski, who recently purchased a residence on Blue Ridge Avenue, and Tru Keesey complete the field of nine candidates.
Voters will go to the polls in May to select a mayor and six council members.
