CALL FOR RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY
REPUBLICAN MASS MEETING
I. Jesse E. Pond, Jr , Chairman of the Republican Party of Rappahannock County, do hereby issue a call for a mass meeting of all members of the Republican Party of Rappahannock County to be held at toe Court House. Washington. Virginia. on Tuesday, March 20,1984 at 8:00 p.m. The purposes of the meeting are:
1 The election of four (4) delegates and four (4) alternates to represent Rappahannock County at toe State Convention of the Republican Party of Virginia, to be held at toe Coliseum, Hampton. Virginia, starting at twelve o'clock p m., local time, on Friday, June 1, 1984 for the purpoees of nominating a Republican candidate for toe office of United States Senator; electing twenty (20) deiegates-at-large and twenty (20) altemates-at-large to the Republican National Convention to be held in Dates. Texas on August 20. 1984; electing two (2) electors-at-large to be voted in toe Presidential election on November 6.1964, electing a State Chairman; nominating a National Committeeman and a National Committeewoman; and for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before toe Convention.
2. The election of four (4) delegates and tour (4) alternates to represent Rappahannock County at the District Convention of toe Seventh District Republican Committee to be held at Albermarte High School. Albermaie County. Virginia, on Saturday, May 19, 1984 for toe purpose of nominating a candidate tor toe United States Congress.
3. The election of a chairman and other officers of the Rappahannock County Republican Committee.
4. For the transaction of such other business as may property oome before the meeting.
There will be a registration fee of $1.00 charged at the mass meeting of toe Republican Party.
AM persons Interested in being nominated as Delegates or Alternates to toe Seventh Congressional District and/or toe Virginia State Convention must file their intent with toe Unit Chairman 5 days prior to March 20,1984
All legal and qualified voters of Rappahannock County, regardtoes of race, religion, color, national origin, or sex. under toe Commonwealth of Virginia, who are m accord with the principles of toe Republican Party and who express in open meeting, if requested, their intent to support a» of its nominees for public office In the ensuing election, are invited to partidpate as members of toe Republican Party of Virginia in tois mass mssting.
