candy too but had ati overpowering surprise the day before '— a trip to the Ringling Brothers ft Barnum ft Bailey’s 3 ring Circus in Washington, D. C. Wow! Accompanied by his parents, Sam ft Cherry Vanneman, little Stun was spellbound by the spectacular scene under the big top! He was especially amused by the ‘'Pink Panther” who had loads of funny tricks and was the main theme of the show. Dad ei\joyed the fierce tigers leaping on and off platforms at the crack of the tamer’s whip. Cherry was captivated by the trapeze artists performing acrobatics high in the air. To think that these performers risk their lives at each show for us is almost unbelievable.
Tomorrow, April 27th is the big, day in Castleton! The citizens are busy preparing their special receipes for the annual, benefit dinner for the Castleton Fire Department. It will start at 5:00 p.m. and include “Steamship Round”, “Turkey with trimmings”, and Mrs. Donald has a gourmets surprise! Friendly calls are being made from pleasant citizens, like Joey Reid’s grandmother, inviting all residents to this gala. Remember — tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. — Castleton Fire Department.
