their turn as Grandmother happily watched all the excitement. As they were saying their farewells to the grandchildren and daughter, Kate and her husband, Mark Tharpe of Culpeper, Mrs. Frazier who was exhaused by then, cherished that particular, warm, and sunny day.

It sure did feel like summer last weekend to Stevan & Marguerite Nikohyevic as they watched the neighboring children splashing and sputtering with 6 or 7 barking, tail wagging dogs in their usually placid pond. The Nikoljevic’s relish the refreshing life that the children give in their play.

The Castleton Community Fire Dept.’s Benefit Dinner last Friday was a huge success with at least 150 people present. Marty Cannon said that the food was delicious, everyone had a great time, and quite a few pounds were gained! Julie Konick added that there was a good variety of food and that she was impressed by the beautiful, flowers on the tables. Her husband, David, carved the scrumptious meat which is definitely hard on the growling stomach and the job most people try to get out of doing. Thank you, David and to all the wonderful citizens who participated in this annual event. It was absolutely marvelous.
