April, weather’s fickle month, has parted company for this year and May is upon us. With a high temperature of 76 and a low of 60, the winds traveled through our county at gusts of 25 miles per hour as if to say, “Look what I brought you."

Look indeed! April brought to the Sperryville area measurable precipitation on 11 of its 30 days. Total rainfall for the month was 5.17 inches, following the 6.60 inches that fell in March. High temperatures averaged 59.43 degrees; low temperatures averaged 38.53 degrees.
